Temporary closing and cat fights. - 3/29/2008
As you probably know, we are temporarily closing over the summer for a few months. There is so much work to do that we can’t do when all the animals who are looking for new homes are here. We couldn’t have them getting high on the paint fumes. That would not be pretty. Ooh, perish the thought. Imagine explaining that one to David the vet.
You would not believe how busy we have been over the last few weeks though. We have only a small number of piggies, and an even smaller number of rabbits available at the moment. If there are any left by the time we close, they will all be going off to live in foster homes while the helpers break their nails to get the work done. We can’t have them idle can we?!
We are all getting very excited about the forthcoming Fun Day in May. The prizes are flooding in. There has been lots of cooing from the volunteers about some of the things I can tell you. We have almost had several cat fights over who is going to “look after” the Jellycat Highland Coo (Karen tells us that’s Scottish for cow!) – and that was just Jim, Kyle & Will.
Please keep an eye on the Fun Day page too, as that is where we will be posting the most up to date information about “the event”.
